Providence Housing Development Corporation will host a 20th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, September 18th, at Artisan Works, 565 Blossom Road, Suite L, Rochester NY 14610 from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. WHAM-13 News Anchor and Associate News Director Don Alhart will be the event’s Master of Ceremonies. A silent auction will feature over 60 “baskets” or items for bid. Money raised will help finance pre-development opportunities in the greater Rochester area and Shelter Plus Care support services for residents. The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, beer and wine (cash bar), entertainment by the JazzNik Trio and a short program showcasing Providence Housing’s 20 years in affordable housing. LECESSE Construction Company, Inc. is the premier sponsor for the evening, along with Gold Sponsor Atlas Contractors, LLC and a number of others who have invested in Providence Housing’s 20/20 Vision for the future. Providence Housing founders envisioned a housing development corporation that would work closely with the faith community and Catholic Charities agencies, supporting those entities where a need for housing was perceived. Since 1994, Providence has secured greater than $135 million in project development funding from public and private sources and has created more than 900 units of affordable housing. This housing has been developed in collaboration with Catholic Charities agencies and other Catholic institutions throughout the Diocese of Rochester.
