Henrietta’s Make A Difference Day Brings 25 Volunteers to West Town Village

Twenty-five volunteers helped with projects at West Town Village, an affordable senior housing apartment complex in Henrietta, for Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

For the past eight or so years, the Make a Difference team sends a group of girls to help the seniors work on a Halloween craft project with the residents. This year, they created festive fabric centerpieces with toilet paper, fabric, and decorative ribbon and also painted pumpkins and gourds.

West Town Village needed help with fall cleaning and the Make a Difference team coordinated with the Rochester Bryant & Stratton women’s basketball team for assistance. Head coach, Sean Knorr, was looking for an opportunity where the entire team could participate together to give back to the community. Teammates helped move lawn furniture, clean surfaces throughout the apartments, and clean out storage rooms to help the Providence Housing.

Providence Housing is always happy to have volunteers help with spring and fall clean up at our properties. If your company or club would like to assist with volunteering efforts, please contact Debbie Goetz at 585-529-9555.
