On Thursday evening, May 29, 2014, a small group of staff from Providence Housing joined close to 10,900 others in the 24th J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, a 3.5-mile run/walk for the corporate community.
All four runners and walkers beat their personal goals for the event (which included just finishing)! This was office manager Debbie Bilotta’s first race and something that “has always been on my bucket list.” “We’re very proud of her for doing something she has never done and surpassing her goal,” said executive director John McDermott. Bilotta ran four minutes faster than her planned finish time — quite an accomplishment! Special thanks go to regional property manager Christine Church and maintenance manager Kevin Gross who donated their time to help set up the tent and cheer on the participants.
In its 38th consecutive year, the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® Series promotes health and camaraderie in the workplace. In 2014, the Series will visit 13 cities in seven countries on five continents, looking to build on an all-time record attendance of 262,311 entrants from 7,969 companies in 2013.
What is next on the bucket list for Bilotta? White water rafting. It sounds like a great suggestion for the next team-building outing.
